Too often, our world view dictates that nonprofits operate on one side of the universe and businesses operate on the other side. In reality, these two types of organizations often work in partnership to produce outstanding community service.
That was the driving message behind the second annual GIVE Salt Lake conference Oct. 11-12 at the David Eccles School of Business in Salt Lake City.
This event presented the perfect space for networking across organizations, planning service projects and learning from one another. A handful of people presented their project ideas to a panel of experts for the chance to earn funding and pro bono support to turn the ideas into reality.
